This position will report directly to the Senior Supervisor, Process Engineering. 

 

What you will do:

  • Participate in onsite training to increase knowledge of the various process units
  • Monitor unit key performance indicator’s (catalyst, exchanger, machinery performance) to identify problems and opportunities in the operating units with the goal of continuously improving production, efficiency, cost, and environmental performance
  • Provide technical support regarding maintenance planning and execution, and to capital project development and execution
  • Provide support to operating teams by troubleshooting issues during process upsets and participate in investigations of plant production issues
  • Provide support to other engineers for long range needs, capital investment plans and projects

 

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering is required
  • 8 years overall process engineering experience
  • 5 years of Ammonia, Urea/Syngas processes experience
  • Knowledge of Process Simulations (AspenHysys, Unisim)
  • Knowledge of Process Monitoring (Pi or Uniformance)
  • Expert knowledge of process design, technical specifications, and machinery
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Proven experience in planning, problem solving and organization
  • Working knowledge equipment within primary area of responsibility
  • Able to self-motivate, and work in a team environment
